Received a giant box of photocopied manuscripts today: it's just like Christmas.
I'm such a scholar-geek. It also makes me feel good, because they're from the working library of a retired scholar who read my article and thought I could be trusted with them.
Reading through manuscripts (particularly those encrusted with the very smart notes of another older scholar) always makes me feel like I'm finally in the genre of life I wanted to be for a very long time. The movie I would want to be in, by the way? The Ninth Gate.
