My Cousin Has Early-Stage Breast Cancer

My cousin Lisa, the one I've just recently 'made up' with after 20 years of estrangement, told me today that she had some weird results during a mammogram, and they biopsied the tissue and found cancer. Fortunately, they caught it VERY early, and so chances are as excellent as they can get with this disease.
I let her know that I could come down to Portland and be a "buddy" if needed. She said her mother and husband pretty much had that covered, but she really did want to see me! So, I now have another reason to make sure I get arrangements made to get down to see her and my sister very soon!
Luckily, speaking to Amara last night, she reminded me of her offer for a space to stay. I think I have to take her up on it, given the situation.
