Back In Kitsap
Reese and I ran some errands and ended up wandering all over east Portland before finally taking off for Washington state. I met a German woman who sharpens knives and tools at this little shop when we were doing this, and it was... different than most shop experiences. Much better than going to a big franchise store, you know?
Sleep had to finish his long work day before he could join us, though, and won't be here until 11 tonight!
My friends are going to help run 3 piles of yard debris and tree branches (from when Mike cut a couple of already dead trees down last year for wood) through the wood chipper. They're massive piles, so it will probably take a day and a half to manage it. Originally, they were going to demolish and cut apart the old and dilapidated wooden platform, but their friend who was going to help them got an emergency weekend job and he just couldn't turn down the money. So--! Chipper piles it is! (It's what Cat wanted them to do anyways.) And of course, they're taking plants to Rhonda's place from where they're at now at Cat's using Reese's pickup truck.
The weather is getting cooler for the week ahead, 70s during the day and 40s at night (I have to remember to close my windows after tonight!)
I'm glad to be home, but I'm definitely feeling weird after the week I've had...
