This LiveJournal Being Used In Research In USA & Europe!
In the midst of all this cray-cray time, I was messaged by a researcher who is a part of a team that is looking at online diaries written over long periods of time to study how people react to events, especially hardships and historical trends over time. They really liked how -- uh, prolific?-- I've been over the last 20 years, as I have a LOT of material to ponder here!
At first, I assumed they were studying paranormal journals because that's such a huge part of any attention my wee writing projects have offered, but no... it's just normal life stuff and how I look at things in the everyday.
That's rather refreshing, I must say!
I agreed to it. It's all anonymous, but parts of what I write may be quoted to use as examples of trends in journal writing.
So... a small contribution to posterity!
If you're a researcher: Welcome! Enjoy! Scratch your head a little. Maybe wince. Raise your eyebrows a LOT. Oh-- and tilt your head thoughtfully. Definitely do that!
