Ahh, a very enjoyable day, but in unexpected ways.
I managed to find one of my robes which was made of lighter material [there is so much to be said for the high count cotton from New Armes!] and I took a book, Lectures on Morality and Rune Usage out by the lake to sit quietly and read. [And Frasier probably needed the outdoor activity - it's been a while since we've been outside during the day, really...] I did notice that Wyatt was nearby, but he seemed as if he was sleeping so I just took up residence underneath of a lovely shady tree and started reading. [I'm about 80% of the way through the book...I'm currently reading Adler's notes on Morality and True Rune bearers and there's a huge section on Luc but...that's irrelevant to this entry...]
So then, I notice that Wyatt has
startled himself awake and of course, I wanted to see if he was allright. He was, and it didn't seem as if he was ready to talk about what had awakened him, and I didn't want to pry. So I offered to rub some suntan cream on his back. *sigh!* I didn't honestly expect him to say yes - but he did. So I found myself rubbing his back. He seemed to enjoy it - he was so quiet that I could have sworn that he had gone back to sleep. After a bit it seemed as if he had gone back to sleep, so I sort of left him there to lay out in the sun. I went back into the castle - kneading those muscles is hard work! Especially if that back is well muscled...
It somehow seems that Wyatt and I are getting closer, and....I'm interested in where this goes. I don't know how he feels on the subject, and I would hate to seem forward by asking. I'm sure in due time, he'll let me know but as it stands now, I am ever more content with his company over anyone else's.
