I finished my semester on the 15th and am now on summer break. Hurrah!
Not very much has happened since I last wrote. Toni had her sixteenth birthday and she and her friends spent the night at my grandparents' house, where she called me at 1 a.m. to ask how to turn on the Jacuzzi. Hehe...they figured it out, though. And the other week my dad was driving me to the library when I noticed a car that was both badly dented and painted hot pink. The driver was a young bleach-blonde woman with an orange tan who was applying her lipstick AND talking on her cell while driving. That was a rare situation in which I only had to look at her for five seconds to know everything I needed to know about her and how she got in the accident. :P
And on the last week of school I heard another amusing snippet:
Guy: "Well if George Washington could do it, so could they."
Girl: "Yeah, but that was George Washington. He was our first president. He lived a thousand years ago."
Guy (laughing): "Yeah, he lived a thousand years ago. He was good friends with Julius Caesar."
Girl (shrugging): "Well, I'm not too good with math."
This summer I'm going to go to driving school and have a camping/hiking trip with Mike...two camping trips, actually, if we do well on the first one. I'm definitely looking forward to that. I'm also excited about the new Batman movie and the fourth Twilight book that's coming out. I'm looking forward to my cousin Leah's wedding, too. It'll be fun to see her get married, and I'll finally have an excuse to wear one of my formal dresses. There are a lot of things I'm excited about for this summer, but I don't want to get ahead of myself and talk about how cool it will be or else I'll jinx it and my summer will royally suck. :P
I'll update again soon. Until then... (insert gratuitous smiley face here)
