So, Rich didn't get home until 9pm last night. Everyone else was released, but he had to stay and give something to the commander. Stupid new job of his. I'm glad he has it though because I know how much more he enjoys the whole going to work thing. But he still gets stressed now and then. Can't expect too much from a job though. Any job can be stressful at one point or another.
Rich started his college course online last night. I'm so proud of him for going back to get his BA. The courses seem to expect a lot, and I do worry about how he'll be able to do in Iraq as far as keeping up with the workload. He started some last night and I think he did great. I just hope they give him the time he needs to complete his assignments over there. I guess the guy Rich talked to said that several people are taking the course over there, so I suppose that is a plus. If they can find time, surely he will as well. Anyway, I think it's awesome that he's doing this. And I know it will make him feel better too. I know he wasn't truly ok with just getting his associate's degree. So this is a big positive.
So I woke up at like 5:30 and I haven't been able to get back to sleep. Joy. I hate when that happens, and it seems as though it happens a lot lately. Pretty damn annoying. Actually having the opportunity to get some much desired rest, and my mind and body fail me and don't allow me to take it.
I've been itching to work on Autumn's care bear cross stitch I started, but I need to get a ring for it to help me work on the areas I'm working on. The piece is large so it's hard to hold it when the stitching needs to be done in the middle. Maybe we'll go to walmart today and pick one up so I can do some of it.
Man I don't know what it is lately, but I have been getting some crazy bills. My cell phone company tried to charge me $618 for our bill this past month. That was some crazy shit right there. We called them up though and turns out they definitely made a mistake. They were charging us every couple days at a time $0.40 a minute AND they didn't have us listed as free mobile to mobile, which means all of the calls Rich and I made to each other's cells were charged for and that isn't how it was supposed to be. The lady told me it was something about how if you have a contract that expires you have to re-add the mobile to mobile thing but in the next breath she pointed out that since I was a new customer it was to be included and someone messed up. I don't care how it happened anymore, I'm just happy that I'm not being charged all of that. My bill will be normal, thank god.
Then the day before yesterday we get this bill in the mail for $992 from the hospital I had my gallbladder taken out it. They said they were charging me for my anesthesia, which is a bunch of bologna, because my insurance was supposed to cover all of it. They even had sent me something stating that the total was $14000 and that it was covered. Naturally that paper was misplaced lol, but thankfully I didn't need it. We called and my insurance company said that the place already had a check in the mail. Definite relief, because that is a very large bill and I was not digging the fact that we may have to pay it. Speaking of the subject though, what is with the price of medical care! OMG. I feel awful for people without insurance. Like my friend who has all these hospital bills, and to top it all off they never even figured out what was wrong with her. What the hell! Medicaid straight up told her that she'd only be able to get them if she was a single mother. How fucked up is that? I'm all about helping the single moms and all, and having had a baby myself and being alone with it for quite a good chunk of time now, being the sole care provider, I have tons of respect for them too. But I don't think they are the only ones who deserve help either when it comes to insurance. My friend has a job, she isn't just sitting on her ass at home, but her job doesn't happen to offer insurance. Without insurance she can't find a doctor who will see her. It's just such a crazy messed up cycle. Stupid government. I wonder if we'll ever get it right.
Maybe I will kill time and do the last part of that survey now. Rich is sleeping and Autumn went back to sleep.

1) If you were on a desert island with one compact disc, what would it be? Oh wow, only one cd, to listen to over and over until god knows when I'd be saved...that is tough. I think if I had to pick one, it would have to be a mix cd, so at least I would have some variety. Though naturally the songs will get old and annoying, but at least they wouldn't all be the same artist or genre. I would like to take this time to point out that if I have a cd player, it could possibly be the boombox type in which case perhaps I could pick up a radio signal as well to entertain myself.

Well I'm going to take a long shot here and assume that I would not be dying, and it would be like LOST, in which case I would definitely prefer Rich and Autumn to be sitting next to me. There are things every day that you learn and you don't even realize it. But in all technicallities, I stopped college when I was 18, but I just picked it up again and I'm 21.
14) If you were a teacher, what subject would you teach? Well, I wanted to be a teacher for about 11 years of my life, and I wanted to teach elementary which would be all subjects. But if I were to have been a high school teacher, it would definitely be English.

They just seemed so awesome and watching the episodes made me wish I was their friend too. I know they aren't a family per se, but they are in their own way. They loved each other and depended on each other and they were there for each other, which if you ask me is a true definition of family. Family doesn't have to be blood.
16) If you had to model your life after someone, who would it be and why? Definitely my mom. I do try to model my life after hers. She was a wonderful parent, and she taught us so much about determination and picking yourself up. She showed that it was ok to be vulnerable but when it comes down to it you have to get up and move on. After her life as she knew it was changed completely when my dad left, she started working and took care of us and never missed a beat. She was so positive and she did her best and that makes me so proud of her. She is a wonderful person and so many people respect and adore her. I desire that in life. To be liked by that many people; she's just a genuinely sincere person. Completely selfless, and not just the "oh you shouldn't have" type of person. She really means it and she genuinely doesn't want anything in return from anyone and she does so much for others. She is truly an amazing woman.

September 10 2001 and I would take a binder of articles from the present showing what happened, and I would go to the pres and secret service and all that shit and warn them so that they could possibly stop what was about to happen. 22) If you were to scuba dive what underwater creature would scare you the most? Sharks definitely. Jelly fish aren't that scary. I saw some when I was in Myrtle Beach. I also saw a lot of dead ones on the shore line. Quite sad actually.

I just witnessed Rich's parent's ashes just being scattered into the lake and I find it to be just wrong. I couldn't do it with my mom's either. Cremating is bad enough because you don't have an actual grave to visit or a place to know in your mind that the person is still "there". I think going the route of cremation, one should at least save some ashes and keep them so you can have that secure feeling that you lack when you don't have a spot for that person. I also think it's pretty selfish. Aunt susie can't go and visit your mom if she's scattered in timbucktoo. If there was a nice gravesite she could go any time and also wouldn't have to come knocking at your door to ask to see your urn. I also find that with cremation you don't get the same closure as seeing a body at the funeral in a casket. Since I've witnessed both types of funerals, I found for at least myself that it was easier to accept the fact that the person was really dead when they were in front of me, well dead. At Rich's parent's funerals there were just boxes up by the pastor, which made it hard for me to really get sunk in that they were in there. Another negative thing about scattering ashes is that it's just plain gross. Having actually seen the ashes themselves made me want to puke. That's a whole person just ground up with these gray chunks and sandy stuff and it's just awful. Now you go and throw your dead person's body all over some land in the air or in the water, and you are polluting those areas with dead person for any other innocent bystander or user of such place. Anyone that goes swimming where Rich's parents are "resting" now, are going to be swimming with dead people. That's just damn freaky.

6) If you could travel to one planet, which would you choose? Venus. It is my favorite. That or Saturn. That's my other favorite. I like the name venus, and I think the rings on Saturn are pretty neat.
7) If you could attend any hall of fame inductions what would you choose? Um, one with a lot of celebrities that I would probably never meet under normal circumstances.
8) If you became president of the U.S. what is the first measure you would enact while in office? I don't even know where to begin. So many things are messed up in our economy right now. This whole country has slowly gone more and more to shit, than ever thought possible by so many. While I am not a huge fan of our pres, I do have to give him some props because being the "commander and chief" of one huge ass country is a lot to hold on your shoulders.
9) If you could be an expert on any one subject, what would it be? Parenting, that way I could be assured I would not mess up on my kids.
10) If you could live in any city besides the one you are in, where would you live? A larger city preferably. At this point in time I would just like to be in a city closer to Michigan so it would be a little easier to go see family and friends, and it would certainly cost a lot less.
11) If you could live in any decade of history, which one would it be and why? I've always been fond of the 1920's. I loved the clothes and kind of the whole stuck up attitude they had going on. But I would want to be from a wealthy family lol. The poor people didn't have much going for them back then.
12) If you could choose a name for yourself other than your own, what would it be? I'm ok with my name. But when I was little I wanted it to be Brianna.
13) If you could/have cease to continue your education at/to any age what age would it be? Well I don't think you ever really stop learning. There are things every day that you learn and you don't even realize it. But in all technicallities, I stopped college when I was 18, but I just picked it up again and I'm 21.
14) If you were a teacher, what subject would you teach? Well, I wanted to be a teacher for about 11 years of my life, and I wanted to teach elementary which would be all subjects. But if I were to have been a high school teacher, it would definitely be English.
15) If you could be a member in any sitcom family, which would it be? I would want to be a part of the group in FRIENDS. They just seemed so awesome and watching the episodes made me wish I was their friend too. I know they aren't a family per se, but they are in their own way. They loved each other and depended on each other and they were there for each other, which if you ask me is a true definition of family. Family doesn't have to be blood.
16) If you had to model your life after someone, who would it be and why? Definitely my mom. I do try to model my life after hers. She was a wonderful parent, and she taught us so much about determination and picking yourself up. She showed that it was ok to be vulnerable but when it comes down to it you have to get up and move on. After her life as she knew it was changed completely when my dad left, she started working and took care of us and never missed a beat. She was so positive and she did her best and that makes me so proud of her. She is a wonderful person and so many people respect and adore her. I desire that in life. To be liked by that many people; she's just a genuinely sincere person. Completely selfless, and not just the "oh you shouldn't have" type of person. She really means it and she genuinely doesn't want anything in return from anyone and she does so much for others. She is truly an amazing woman.
17) If you could travel back to the past, what date would you go to and what one thing would you take with you? September 10 2001 and I would take a binder of articles from the present showing what happened, and I would go to the pres and secret service and all that shit and warn them so that they could possibly stop what was about to happen. It would have saved lives, and on the selfish end of it, would have left my birthday to be just that- my birthday. Not a day of rememberence and sadness for all the lives that were unfairly taken. But a regular old day where people wouldn't feel the need to spout off "I'm sorry" when they find out it is my birthday.
18) If you were to give yourself a creative title for your personal business card what would it say? Mommy & Wife Extraordinaire, yeah that's right, I perped off of you roo lol.

20) If you had a tattoo where would it be and what would it be? well I already have two that I wanted, and the next that I was going to get but ended up prego was a sunshine and Rich's name on my ankle.
21) If you could be spokesperson for any one product what would it be? Old Navy baby clothes. While their adult line has definitely lowered itself on my scale, the baby clothes rock. They are a bit pricey depending, but I find a lot of them on sale there and they are the only brand (next to Carter's) that fit Autumn perfectly. They really seem to last and they're made so well.
22) If you were to scuba dive what underwater creature would scare you the most? Sharks definitely. Jelly fish aren't that scary. I saw some when I was in Myrtle Beach. I also saw a lot of dead ones on the shore line. Quite sad actually.
23) If you had to choose, what is the most important thing to you in a relationship, looks, smarts, humor, personality, or mutual interests? personality and I'd have to say that included in that personality HAS to be trust and honesty.
24) If you were to sell something at an auction, what would you sell, and how much would it sell for? Well if I'm selling it I would want it to be some expensive and very antique object like a painting or something, but I would need for it to be something I totally hated so I could give it up with ease.

26) If you talked in your sleep what would you say? how much I love Rich since he's the only one sleeping with me and that's something I'd like for him to hear me say.
27) If you were a professional wrestler what would your ring name be? Well, I suck at wrestling. Ask my brother. I always get pinned. Therefore, I do not deserve a wrestling name.
28) If you were granted one wish what would you wish for? more wishes, I'm on dummy!
29) If your body was cremated, where would you want your ashes sprinkled? I am against scattering ashes. I just witnessed Rich's parent's ashes just being scattered into the lake and I find it to be just wrong. I couldn't do it with my mom's either. Cremating is bad enough because you don't have an actual grave to visit or a place to know in your mind that the person is still "there". I think going the route of cremation, one should at least save some ashes and keep them so you can have that secure feeling that you lack when you don't have a spot for that person. I also think it's pretty selfish. Aunt susie can't go and visit your mom if she's scattered in timbucktoo. If there was a nice gravesite she could go any time and also wouldn't have to come knocking at your door to ask to see your urn. I also find that with cremation you don't get the same closure as seeing a body at the funeral in a casket. Since I've witnessed both types of funerals, I found for at least myself that it was easier to accept the fact that the person was really dead when they were in front of me, well dead. At Rich's parent's funerals there were just boxes up by the pastor, which made it hard for me to really get sunk in that they were in there. Another negative thing about scattering ashes is that it's just plain gross. Having actually seen the ashes themselves made me want to puke. That's a whole person just ground up with these gray chunks and sandy stuff and it's just awful. Now you go and throw your dead person's body all over some land in the air or in the water, and you are polluting those areas with dead person for any other innocent bystander or user of such place. Anyone that goes swimming where Rich's parents are "resting" now, are going to be swimming with dead people. That's just damn freaky.
30) If you had to spend the rest of your life in one place where would it be? anywhere with Rich and Autumn

Well, I would assume that if I am traveling around the world it ought to be including Rich and Autumn automatically, in which case I would probably pick a certain couple to accompany us, assuming they wouldn't mind having an adorable baby tagging along.
41) If you could project yourself into the past where would you go? Again, the 1920s it would be neat to see how they lived and got around, and how quaint everything looked.

43) If there is a heaven where is it? probably some alternate universe. Though I believe in reincarnation, so I think that maybe we go to "heaven" for a rest and then start up a new life after visiting our other lost people. Maybe a little part of us stays in this "heaven" just in case like Grandma has already gone on to her next life, I'd like to chat for a minute. I don't know, I'm grasping at straws here!

Hopefully I would already have another job lined up because I was able to call a friend who had a connection and give me the hook up for a job at another station in the time between being fired and being allowed to give my last message, in which case I would inform the listeners of my new station that I'd be dj'ing for.
47) If you were to add one room to your house what would it be? Definitely like Niki said, a big library, with all the comfy furniture and fireplace. I've always wanted a fire place. I'd also like books to already be stocked, I don't want some empty shelfs. And it would have to be all of books that I would like. Not boring historical books or the bible lol. And I would want a big section of childrens books for Autumn and little furniture for her to have her own area.

51) If you could be a high ranking officer of one of the armed forces what would you be? I think I would be set just being like a first sgt. Not too powerful and loaded with responsibility but high enough in rank to demand respect and have authority over lower ranking soldiers.
52) If you could be a famous actor, writer, athlete, artist or musician, which would you choose? I would love to be an actor if I thought I could actually memorize lines and stuff. I actually have a fantasy of being a soap actor. That's a sweet gig. It really opens you up for bigger things like movies, or smaller things like prime time or your own show on some network. And you get to be around hot guys and all the casts are so close. It would just be awesome.
53) If you could add one or more attributes to your personality what would it be? I wish I could be more patient with immature people. I'm working on it as we speak. I'm trying to bite my tongue and not tell someone how she should be doing things, because she will learn on her own. It is definitely killing me though, because I know she's making a mess already.
54) If you owned a restaurant what kind of food would it serve? Hopefully good food, but i would want it to be a variety. Like a place you could get a little of everything but it would be authentic. Like I would want specialized chefs, like a japanese and mexican and italian and so on so they could prepare their signature dishes to perfection.
