I think it is a good place to meet all sorts of new people. A lot of friendships and relationships can form there. Those tend to last longer than the ones you had in high school. It is a place to come into your own personality wise. You find out who you are while you're there. It's a good place to figure out what kind of person you want to be. You're exposed to a larger variety of people. It's a stepping stone. Like everything else in life. Like elementary school was for middle school, and so on. But it isn't for everyone.
