The top story this morning is New Orleans' preparation for Mardi Gras. I am so glad that they are able to hold it this year. The area really needs that. They say that over the whole country, Americans have donated about 1 billion in money and other kinds of aid, like food and blankets. America pretty much rocks, even though we are materialistic racial snobs, we can be pretty compassionate too.
Speaking of Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday is in a couple says. I think this year will be the first year i don't get ashes. I am slowly and steadily becoming not- Catholic.
