Who cheats at bowling, I mean really..
The team playing against us tonight did. There were only three of them there but the guy bowled under his name and a teammate's and his scores were really high. Fortunately the lane next to us had the head of our league playing and caught them at it. The extra scores the guy bowled (including a game near 200 points) were going to be wiped off their team record. Apparently they've done it before and nobody told them they couldn't sub a missing teammate with someone who already showed up to play. Either get a person in to take their place (under their own name, not the missing person's name), or leave that place empty for the night. Those are the rules. They let their other missing teammate's spot sit empty. I bet the guy did it because their points for the night won't be recorded if there are three people on a team and two absent if neither of the two bothered to roll off ahead of time.
Ah well, at least the leader chick noticed. We were going to report them anyway, but better she talked to them directly than having us go tattle. But, we really wanted to tattle.
If you just want to play for fun, bowl for fun. Even in a fun league like ours is we all have to follow the rules of fair play, and that wasn't.
