Today in my hc class we watched this movie about Vietnam. It made me think more about what Brad and I talked about when he came over. I mentioned that what if we didn't have war: all the world's conflicts would be solved with a chess tournament. There would be no mess or death. But he said that the reason we can't do that, although it would be great, is that death is final. There would always be people that could contest the results of a chess tournament. But you can't contest death.
Hm.
The Steve Miller Band rocks pretty hard. I downloaded "Jet Airliner" today and it made the day a great one. I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think the weather was sunny, too. Too bad I napped for most of it, I guess.
Revolution on Canvas came in the mail for me today! How exciting. It was a whole day earlier than expected, too. I don't know when I'm going to have time to read it though along with the other book I'm trying to read. I suppose I could be doing that instead of doing this. Okay, that settles it. I'm taking a little hiatus from typing journal entries and using that time to read. So I might not update for a little bit and that's why.
Nirvana's overrated, I think. But then I don't know. I was like seven. Maybe I just don't see something other people do. I'm sure there are people that say Green Day's overrated.
You know how they say that it's a serious problem when it hinders your daily life? Well I'm supposed to be doing homework now and I'm sitting here talking about the Steve Miller Band and Nirvana and Green Day and totally listening to everyone ever's itunes playlists and talking about Something Corporate with Christina instead of doing my homework and laundry and showering sleeping and I'll probably stay up until three doing the same thing and that is why I'm so damn sleep deprived. Music will be the end of me.
I picked a dumb instrument in sixth grade. Why didn't I choose to learn trombone or trumpet? Why didn't I take piano lessons? Who is going to want a flute in their band?
I'm going to go find some songs to burn on the best rec center cd ever...I mean, do my homework. Matt, if you are reading this and want to make any suggestions, do it or I'm burning an all punk-emo cd and you won't have any say and you won't like it :D.
