Wow, I have to say that shopping around for a new graphics card is actually a lot more fun than I was expecting. I figured it'd be kinda boring just looking around at varous bits of machinery, but actually turning over the boxes and comparing each cards capability to one another, then talking to a really knowledgable Best Buy dude that happened to be in the same area was pretty damn fun. My mind is made up on the GeForce 6600 card. Originally I was thinking of using one of the cards from the Radeon 9000 series, but they've been out for awhile and I don't know the particular lifespan of a graphics card, so while I'm not willing to shell out the cost of the higher end cards like the GeForce 6800 or the newest 7800 card, I did find really good deals on the 6600 card and I figure it's still got some good years in it, plus I'll mostly be using it for Final Fantasy XI and various adventure games that don't need the higher end cards anyway, so I figure whenever I do get another upgraded one, I doubt I'll need it anytime soon.
I've started looking around on Ebay as I'm getting more into collecting minimates action figures. They really are the perfect thing to collect for someone that doesn't have a whole lot of room on his shelf. They're little 2inch figures that produce various figures from companies like Marvel and DC comics, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek and are now branching out into other mediums like figures of music bands and movies now too. Although I did happen to see two pictures of two new figures of theirs called Mega Minimates that are figures of Galactus and a Sentinel robot that were made HUGE because the characters themselves are large compared to normal people height. I've been tempted, but I have absolutely no room for those two guys, plus they're like 80 bucks too.
So now that I've bored you with computer and toys talk, my job is done! Time to play some more Final Fantasy 6!
Sincerely,
Retarded
