Got to admit it's getting better, getting better all the time
So the dream of my digital SLR is all that much closer to reality. With the money I have saved plus the money from my tax return I am going to be getting my camera within a month or so.
And here comes the great part. I was talking to one of the photographers at work the other day and the idea for a project came about. She was thinking about doing a photo blog about downtown nightlife. The only problem is is that she is super busy and they are short-staffed so she hasn't really had the time. Well I told her about the camera and I would love to help her. I mean I go to at least two shows a week anyway. Might as well be productive while there. And it would give me a real reason to have this camera besides the fact that I just WANT it. And since I will be there as media, I'll probably be able to get in for free thus saving money. I've already talked to Phillip and he said he'd help me out by giving direction about what bands to go photograph.
Now I just have to talk to my boss if we could get this set up. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
