Labour Day
All the family is at home today - a very long weekend for us.
The Husband and the little girl have watched one of those "I need a new home" pet shows on tv on Friday evening and have talked about looking at dogs ever since. So we went to an animal shelter in one of the neighbouring towns this afternoon. Well, we found some possible candidates, but do not want to rush into anything. We'll have a look at some more over the next weeks, but it seems likely we will have a new family member soon!
We also had someone come over to take a look at our upcoming building activities (not the garage, that is still waiting for the permission!) and it looks like things will get busy around here the week after next. Wohooo - progress!
As the weather is getting colder and wetter by the hour, we will have our Labour Day Barbecue indoors, which is just as well - there is a Snooker final to watch, after all ... *waves flag for the Pocket Dynamo from Scotland*
