I need to first point out that this story is both incredibly breathtaking and a little bit terrifying. It sits on the surface of your skin, just itching and itching, and there are fragments that your mind will call up at the weirdest of times-a description of a grisly murder involving neon veins when you're greeting a table, "he's coming back for the most beautiful mind he knows," as you're drifting off to sleep like this existential bogeyman chasing you off to your nightmares. It sticks with you more than any psychological thriller I've ever watched, and after you devour the whole thing, the world feels a bit grey afterwards. I'm not going to lie, this fanfiction terrified me and intrigued me and made my heart bleed a little bit, but I still consider it my favorite Mark/Eduardo fic. That feeling you get after you watch a scary movie? The creepy crawly sensation that makes you too afraid to just get up get up already and flick on the lights? You will have that feeling in spades. And you know what? You'll enjoy it.
