i can tell you one thing for certain....
...its bloody freezing out there. and I'm not just saying that I mean it literally. When I left work, black ice all over t'road. Thought I wa' gonna go slip slidin away for a second there!
So it kinda motivated me to put up some xmas decs. Not put the big tree up again this year. Not after the fiasco two years ago. I returned home from work to find the tree down the back of the sofa and the cat sat where the tree was lookin sweet n innocent "tree...what tree?" and "it wasn't me" kinda look. So unless she has either a step ladder or a set of stilts she isn't going to kill these decorations...
...But she ran a mile and hid under the bed when I found the santa outfit...
Last year I thought it'd be a fun idea to buy from Woolworths a Santa outfit for the cat. The cat on the wrapper looked so docile in this fluffy red and white outfit. However, later I realised this to be a lie, and the outfit was probably 'photoshopped' onto the cat. Especially when I realised that trying to get cute fluffy cat into cute fluffy outfit, was impossible.
Take 1 cat (this one was asleep and purring and I thought it would be easier)
Take 1 santa outfit (specially made for cats - as it says on the packet)
Gently ease one front cat paw into sleeve of outfit (cat still snoozy - things are going well)
Stretch coat over cats back and attempt to locate other front cat paw
Cat becomes aware of suddenly growing extra coat.
Wakes quickly, struggles, sinks teeth and claws into anything not hers.
Then jumps off owners knee, and runs upstairs with santa outfit trailing after her.
Owner checks bleeding areas of flesh, gets up and retrieves santa outfit from staits and vows not to try again until next year.
So its next year now, and I'm wondering if I'm brave enough to try again....
maybe, at least wait until I've finished my dinner.
