My father was taken to the hospital by ambulance tonight. He has an aneurysm in his bowel that was bleeding. He needs emergency surgery, but the only surgeon available is 1 1/2 hours away. They just sent him there by ambulance. It's apparently a very life-threatening condition. He's stopped bleeding for now, but they say if he bleeds again or his blood pressure drops on the way to the surgeon, it could be fatal.

I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight.
