Okay, with this event, it brought to mind for me some ideas, and I have full permission for this from both Akai and from Athena ( Read more... )

One of Nami's attacks is Rain Tempo, which (surprise) summons clouds of rain, which she'll most likely put to good use here. :|b Thoughts on that? She'll be doing it on the basis of "hoshit the forest is on fire" as opposed to thinking anything about confronting Yuber, though - I doubt she'll realise he's involved unless he makes it clear.

Basically, I'm good with anything you guys do. By the time people in the village would honestly see, there will be destruction. If people don't put two and two together, that's fine. There are other things that will make it obvious, like the attempted slaughter of innocents and what he's doing before the forest burns.

That's cool. She's a sharp girl; if she knows Yuber is behind this, mind, all she'll do is take extra precautions in case of sudden surprise attack demons. |D Chasing him down and killing/capturing him can be left to the heavyweights.

Of course, so we can go with what we discussed in chat, he can attack, lightly injure her, she uses Mirage Tempo and escapes with an injury that is easy enough to heal and won't be too angsty for the crew.

As I said, I'll be tossing Frey at this, if you don't mind. He's already been keeping his ears open for any rampages by the demon, and he's now at full power rune wise again.

I'm open for anything whatsoever, sans cutting off a limb or death. Beat him within an inch of his life; I'm pretty open about character injury.

One question/note: because of the nature of the dawn rune and my head canon based on in game info, it might react on its own if Yuber tries to kill him and he's unable to move. It’s protective from what I’ve seen.

Which... at close range, might hurt Frey as well, but it will probably hurt Yuber, too. Is this ok?

I don't mind at all. And the Dawn Rune can react on its own, we can have that be why Frey doesn't die maybe.

And since I'm giving the go ahead for injury up to and including death, not going to complain if the Dawn Rune hurts him.

Yes, that's what I figured. Otherwise, feel free to beat him half to death. /Really needs an icon for him injured

Maybe we can edit an icon to be all bloody? I could probably do that for you, though I admit to being no artist

And yeah, beating is no problem, slashing and stabbing is good. And also, with full powered healers, pretty much if he doesn't die right away, he can live through it, so I admit it will be easier to work with people wanting injury and not death.

I may be taking you up on the death thing for Arumat; I'll need to talk to Sol and Ty first though!

No problem, let me know what happens so I know what to do.

And you want Arumat to help kill Yuber, or be attacked at some point?

To be attacked-- I've been wanting to get him killed for a long time now but didn't have a good chance for it. This, however, sounds like it might be the perfect opportunity!

Yes, it would, because there will indeed be very little to stop Yuber from killing anyone outside of his fellow villains. Then I will definitely await you talking with Sol and Ty and we can discuss what happens from there.

Whelp-- if the forest-burning-down is involved, Ginko will involve himself. He's also a non-combatant, leaving aside filial magic. 8| So I expect him to non-aggressively really Make a Nuisance of Himself.

Okay, considering Ginko is a non-combatant, I do feel a need to mention, there is no restriction to harming non-combatants at this time. Ginko is indeed welcome to make a nuisance of himself, attempt to put out the fires and all, but if he comes in sight of Yuber, the demon will attempt to attack, because he's only happy when humans are bleeding.

Oh yes, I understand this. Sadly, I am dealing with an incredibly obstinate muse, who's been nearly bitten in half by Moro for much the same reason.

If they do cross paths out of necessity, though, he might have enough shounen companion-age to at least escape with injury, I'm thinking.

Funny, Yuber has had the same issue with Moro. And I expect she will be among those killing him.

And I can definitely work with any wishes for injury. At that point, Yuber won't have a bunch of summons to aid him also, so that will help. If Ginko isn't the type to run though, we might want to find someone to get him out of there, and I can definitely edit saying I need a volunteer for that.

I am volunteering both Nephry and Sheena for attack, but not for death. They're smart enough to run. (Too bad San's mallynapped or she'd be in on this too.)

Not a problem. Any limits on injuries besides the usual no loss of limbs?

offallingsnow August 9 2010, 04:13:39 UTC
I'd like them to be functional within a day. Nephry's had a lot happen already and Sheena has her own summoning plots to deal with on Wednesday/Thursdayish.

I'm sure that can be done. So something ranging from light to medium injuries, we can try and have both get found quickly enough that blood loss will be minimal and a healer can have them both up in no time, maybe?

And I'm guessing you'll want Sheena attacked around when the forest burns late Tuesday so she can be up in time for her plots? I'd be cool with her finding him in the forest too, he's going to hit up a few spots in the forest, so a few people would have a chance to happen upon him there.
