Is there going to be a limit on how many people can volunteer for the draft, or can literally the entire playerbase join in?

I'm not quite sure if I understand the difference between the old recruitment post and the new "volunteering your characters" set up. Are we essentially signing up characters for individual drafts, as opposed to signing them up for the draft and letting it fall to luck of the order?

Effectively it's just signing up for individual drafts. There will be another mod post in a few days, where anyone can sign up if they want to put their character in.

Following up to Raven, what (if we can know :P ) will be the method of choosing which characters of the 5000 volunteers end up actually drafted? If it's even necessary, I guess.

No method. if you sign a character up, they're going. How big the draft is depends entirely on the interest of the players.

You'll probably be explaining this in the draft entry, but for my own peace of mind (and plotting purposes):

Will characters be sent back to a hotel after so-and-so many hours of being out on the battlefield? Or will this be like the rain forest where they're stuck out there for the full five days?
