Asking Allen whether or not he was going for food was like asking if water was wet. Without a moment's delay, the white-haired boy was out the door, a look of pure joy on his face. A rather loud rumble came from his stomach, and he gave a sheepish laugh.

Allen frowned, however, as he noticed Lavi's hand, and knew what the other boy was thinking. He himself hadn't yet tried to activate his Innocence, fearing it might not work, preferring, for the moment, to delude himself into believing that it would.

"We'll... fine it, Lavi." He himself did not believe the words, but they had to be said, he knew. "Somehow. We will."

He looked down for one moment, before gasping softly, an embarrassed smile on his face. "By the way, Lavi, I told Maria and Nia -- er, two people I met here -- that they could come with us, since they were looking for food too. Is that okay?"

Nia was a little hesitant on leaving Simon by himself again. She was worried about him and his loss of his Aniki. Food would probably make him feel better and rejuvenated, but what would he do while she wasn't around? She wouldn't leave him alone for long, however. She needed to find food quickly, for both Simon and Lloyd before they starve themselves, which did not sound very pleasant at all. It was very nice of Allen to invite her to find food with him and his friends.

Nia didn't tell Simon that she would be leaving because he did not want him to worry. She quietly stepped outside, stopping only a few feet away from the door only to look at the landscape. She didn't understand why everyone wanted to go home. How can anyone not like something so beautiful?

She took a deep breath and began walking away from the house. Allen couldn't have been far.

Lavi smiled down at Allen. "Heh, don't worry 'bout it... don't figure those freaks would let me have somethin' like that in here anyway, yeah?" Even if it wasn't broken...

Pushing the door open, he gestured outside. "So, are your friends meetin' us here, or are we pickin' 'em up on the way?" He grinned at the other boy. "Are they cute?"

"Still, an Innocence chooses its owner..." Allen frowned a little as he walked outside. He knew there was no such thing as an Innocence homing ability. But... still... It may have been brought there with Lavi. "Oh, that reminds me. I don't know if she's... more reliable... than Chief Komui, but one of the girls said that she was an inventor. Maybe she can... fix it..."

"Hmm, I think we're... just going to pick them up on the way." He blinked, missing a step at the second question. "A-are they what?"

Nia wasn't exactly sure where she was supposed to meet Allen. She walked around the village and looked for the person. It was a little strange being alone, but she knew that Allen and his friends will be with her soon.

It only took a few minutes before she heard talking nearby. She wasn't sure, but she approached the noise in hopes that it was him. "Hello?" She said timidly as she walked up to them.

"Are they cuu~ute?" Lavi teased, nudging Allen with his elbow. "We've only been here a day and you're already gettin' girlfriends, huh?" He didn't want to talk about the loss of his Innocence any longer, at least not at at the moment.

Seeing a small figure approach, he waved in greeting. "Hey there!"

"Th-they're not girlfriends!" Allen flushed, poking his friend in the side with a pout. "Don't compare me to you, Lavi!"

He stopped, however, as he noticed the approaching figure. Brightening, he gave a wave as well, taking a few running steps forward. "Nia, there you are!"

Nia knew who Allen was and didn't hesitate to wave to him, but the other two were unfamiliar. "Hello Allen." She said, and looked at the other two. "I am Nia. Are you Allen's friends as well?"

Lavi smiled cheerfully at the two girls. Looks like they're a little young... oh well! "Hey, I'm Lavi," he said with a wave. "Nice to meet ya, Nia... and you must be Maria," he continued, turning to the blonde girl. "Any friends of Allen's are friends of mine!"

"Nia, Maria..." Allen smiled, waving the two girls over. "Yes, this is my friend Lavi. Lavi, this is Nia, and this is Maria." From the looks of it, though, he didn't really need to do introductions. Still, it felt like the polite thing to do.

Nia simply smiled. Meeting new people was absolutely wonderful and a new experience now that she was outside the capital.

"Where might we find food?" She asked. She heard about a shop, but she had no idea what that could possibly be.

"Well, I heard there's a shop..." Looking around, Lavi peered down the path. "I think all the houses are that way... so maybe the shop's over this way?" He shrugged and grinned. "M'sure it won't be too hard to find. Don't worry!"

I doubt they want us to starve to death, anyway... but maybe this is the first test.

"All right, this way!" he said, waving the others to follow him.
