GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS

[Is there someone in your bed? Is your chair broken? Is your porridge TOTALLY EATEN? Hopefully it was just right. Rapunzel finds herself compelled to wander into people's homes, sit on their furniture, test out their beds, and eat whatever's left out to cool on the table. Is one of these homes yours?]

[Terra heads down the stairs, only semi-awake as she hears noises in the kitchen.]

Locke...?

Ummmmm no? Hello? Sorry? [Yeah, Rapunzel is all up in your porridge, Terra. Her spoon clatters back into the bowl at the newly-microwaved stuff she just whipped up.]

OUCH! Too hot!

[Instantly more awake, Terra enters the kitchen and stops short.]

...what's going on? Why are you here? Who....

Your porridge is too hot.

[NO that's not what she wants to say!!! But Rapunzel can't seem to get out the right words: the apologies and introductions just won't come.]

Your....do you have a comfy chair anywhere?

[Blink.]

I'm...sorry? And we do, but don't you have your own home?

[Not that Terra's moving to kick her out, she's just confused.]

Yes! I have my tower......apartment. In Building Seven! But right now I am more interested in...

Actually, I'm feeling a bit sleepy. Is there a bed anywhere...?

[Even more confused now.]

There are three in this house, but...are you sure you want to sleep here?

OOOH. Three? [She looks so excited about this.] I don't know about "sure," but....may I try them out?

[Terra glances back to the stairs, finding it difficult to tell the girl to leave. She's so polite, home invasion aside.]

I think the others are all out, so you could try them out, I guess?

Oh, wonderful! And don't worry---if they end up not being just right? I'll leave right away!

[And she hurries toward the stairs, not waiting for further invitation.]

[Terra gives her a minute, then decides to head back up the stairs. She's too curious about all this to think of breakfast now.]

[Hmmmmm....this first bed is TOO HARD.]

WOW. Who sleeps on THIS one?! Their spine must be made of steel!

[Terra smiles a little.]

That's Sabin's. He can sleep on anything.

Hmmmmm...it's JUST not for me. Let me try another one! [And she's off again to the next bedroom!]

[That would be hers. Terra pauses at the door, a bit self-conscious since she hasn't had time to clean up and the bed is half-covered in stuffed animals for company.]
