Homecoming

What:  Two of three brave housemates returning home.
When:  End of the draft, when the two arrive.
Where:  House 44, Everyone's Favorite Crazy House
Summary:  The draft is over, and Adell and Flandre return home after a long and draining battle.   Their return is awaited.

[Remilia locked herself up in her room. Well, it was easy enough to get in if you were Sakuya but no one else was invited. She didn't care about any party. If Patchouli wasn't around, she didn't want any part of it.]

[Scritch, scratch, at the door.]

[Remi doesn't even notice. She's in such a hate funk that she doesn't care about the world around her.]

[But sister wants to sleeeep. And glom onto her elder. But mostly sleep because she is tired and it is daytime.

Flandre scratches at the door again. Maybe Remilia didn't hear...?]

[She didn't hear this time either.

Maybe Flandre should just bust down the door.]

[Oh.

Hey Flandre. Remi looks up and...

...well, she looks tired, worn out, and depressed. But if Flandre's there, that's better. She holds out her arms to the little girl.]

[...she wasn't used to that; her sister looking so...sad. Less than what she should be. Flandre lofts over and latches onto Remi without a word, only a soft keening sound.

She's tired too, but this is...upsetting.]

[Flandre gets a tight hug and a nuzzle. A very tight hug.]

Stay right here with me, Sister.

[there_were_none]

[She shivers a little bit--and returns that nuzzle. And that hug. Flandre's wings would get involved in this too, but they are short and feathery and don't really reach much past her shoulders. But the little vampire does try!]

I will, sister. I promise.

[And she means every bit of it.]

[Remilia gives her a worn smile and kisses her forehead.]

I'm glad. Never again will....this happen.

[The shivers stop at the kiss, though Flandre does close her eyes halfway.]

Remi...won't be sad, anymore?

...I still need to be sad for Patchouli.

...oh.

[Being reminded hurt. But not...not nearly as much as it hurt Remi. Flandre whined softly, nuzzling against her sister's cheek.]
