[Back at the community building room, Asch was furious, even now. Luke could tell; some of his feelings were leaking over, even when he tried to hold it back. He worried for Guy, of course, just as he worried for Natalia and Nephry and everyone else who might have seen him in that state.

But at the moment, Asch was his priority. He was technically a part of him, after all. It took a long moment of silence to try and word it right - he didn't want to annoy Asch further.

Are relationships really this dramatic? Jeez.]

[Asch isn't in the mood to talk; he hasn't been in the mood for much of anything since he left the house in the first place. The Halloween experimentation left him tense and paranoid, and the fight at the house with Guy - when he was trying to help, no less - had caused him to shut everyone out completely. Thus, when Luke interrupted his brooding, he was quick to snap a response that expressed quite clearly how much he would love to talk to his replica.]

"What?"

[If Luke could cringe, he would. Maybe he should just be quiet and stay out of Asch's brooding... but no, Luke wanted him to know that he wasn't alone. And that he appreciated everything he'd done.]

"I-I... I know you were just trying to help. Guy was being a jerk to you, and... once I get back, I'll talk to him about it. But I'm glad you were the one who helped me."

"I must seem pretty pathetic to you if you're trying to help me."
