"He's gonna get himself killed." the words were quiet, and despite Reno knowing how tough Eric was, he could still be killed, especially if the monster managed to keep him out until dawn. He was suddenly beginning to realize he genuinely cared about the man he'd been watching over during the day, though God knows he'd never admit it out loud without extreme provocation, and he didn't want that to happen.
But pissed Eric off by killing the doppelganger before he'd managed to convince Eric it wasn't what it appeared to be wasn't the wisest idea in the world, either, and he knew it. "Dammit, Eric. . .this is so not good. So not good at all." He'd seen the tears, and he could only imagine what Eric was feeling right now. He'd console him, or do the best he could, as soon as the monster was taken care of, but doing so first was the most important thing.
"Wait! Do you have a video camera in the car? If you film it, show Eric that it is one of the monsters, I think we can probably get him away from it."

She pulled out her biggest gun and stopped when the red haired boy told her to wait. She wasn't sure how he was connected to Eric, and maybe, just maybe, somewhere in the cold mechanical workings of her body cared just a tiny bit that something could happen to him. For her, this fight was more personal because the very thing that keeps Kiddy's body powered is her deep desire for revenge, although mainly on WIRE, this monster had made her list.
She quickly got back to her car, some call was coming in over the radio but she completely ignored it. Nothing could pull her away from this now. She grabbed the video camera in the car and despite it being attatched to the car she managed to rip it out with it still being fully functional.
She tossed the camera to Reno. "You get the monster on tape. I'm going to do what I can to stop them or at least slow them down. We can't let them get away!" She chased after them, slowly closing in on them. She may not run as fast as a vampire, but she was built to run faster than most humans.

"Godric!" he called out again as they reached the edge of the city, though not stopping as they crossed that final road that lead to the woods. He knew very well that the outskirts of the city were dangerous, but feared very little of the creatures. "Why did you face the sun!? Why did you not take me with you!!"
Finally, the monster of illusion stopped, turning to face his following with a straight and empty look. In comparison to height and age, Godrick looked to be maybe fifteen or sixteen, being a full head shorter than Eric. But even with the one being so fake, it was easy to see who was the superior one time before. Eric slowed from his run as he saw him stop in the open air, and walked towards him, the blood now smeared down his chin.
"Godric..." he whispered, coming to stand a few feet from him. "... why did you go? Why did you have to face the sun..." More tears dribbled from his eyes as such longing filled them. "[Why could I not come with you?]"

"I know you want it to be, Goddess knows I can understand how badly, There are so many people I'd die to be near again, but dying for a lie, it isn't worth it, and you have people here who care about you too."Quietly, with his head down because he was almost certain Eric probably wouldn't believe him. "I'm one of 'em. Yeah, it started out as physical attraction, but over these past few days of watching out for you, I've grown to genuinely care about you."
Reno too feared little of any of the monsters that might attack them, as long as he could save the other's life. It wouldn't make up for all of the horrid things he'd done, but. . .keeping someone he did care about safe and alive, it was a start. "He doesn't have the answers for you, Eric. ..it doesn't have the answers for you, and sometimes, as bad as it sucks, and I know damn well it does. . .you never get the answers to those questions."
He simply set a hand across Eric's back, keeping his senses enough on alert that if they got attacked he could kill it, but keeping part of it on the vampire as well. "I'm sorry. .. Goddess, I'm so sorry."

She didn't know what to say to Eric to really comfort him, she was so distatched from her feelings, it was hard to relate to anyone anymore. "Eric, you may be an asshole, but I'm not letting you die here." It may not sound like much, but really it was her way of saying that she cared.
After fighting off the more unimportant monsters, she got behind the doppleganger, with her gun pointed at the back of its head. She didn't shoot quite yet, she wanted to be sure that Reno had gotten through to Eric before she full out killed this thing.

Reno's words were not getting through to him. It was akin to a whispering in the back of his mind. Just something spoken in English.. What was he saying anyway? He didn't even really realize the man was there until Reno actually touched his back. He turned hard and ripped Reno from him, completely against being touched at this moment. "Do. Not. Touch me," he replied to him again, almost hissing the noise in a feral way before looking back to see Kiddy with the gun at his head.
A normal vampire would have known that would have done little to nothing, but it didn't help she was pointing the gun at his calm maker. He launched himself towards her, and struck his hand hard and flat against her chest to throw her back. It would not have been the distance he had thrown Reno once before, but it was enough to get her to back off. He turned again to the doppleganger as he looked at Godric's face. Slowly his body fell to his knees, and he reached up to his shirt and pants, holding tight to the fabric as he wept into the cloth. "Godric..." he whimpered as he tried to choke down his bleeding tears, but could not. The Godric placed his hand on his head, saying nothing as he massaged his scalp as if to relax him, something not uncommon between the two of them.
What Eric couldn't smell was the thick cloud of miasma that was crawling over the area.

He reacted utterly on instinct, not touching Eric, because the man had asked him not to, but he threw himself up as a shield between the miasma and Eric, letting it wrap around him and swallow him up. The only thing to come from him at first was a light hiss, even though it set up like a fire across his back. "Just get him out of here!" He yelled in Kiddy's direction. "Don't worry about me, get Eric back into town, even if you have to fight him to do it!" I won't let him die was Reno's last thought right before the pain ripped all coherent thought away utterly.
The doppelganger had kept Eric distracted, kept him busy so the miasma could reach him, but the redhead would not allow it to happen. The slender Turk, even with his fierce and wisecracking exterior, was capable of caring, even self sacrifice, if driven to it, and he'd proved it right here.

"I don't know who that guy is to you, but he just sacraficed himself to save your dumb ass! You'd trade someone who gives a damn about you to save a monster that looks like someone else!? This person isn't real. This very creature took on my form to hurt someone I care about just two weeks ago. I'm going to kill it and save your sorry ass, and you're going to be damn greatful!"
She pulled back her fist and threw a punch right at Eric's face. If she had to take him down first or at least render him unconcious, then she was a bitch enough to do it.

The figure before him fell away for a moment as Eric was dragged back. He separated between the two of them, releasing his shirt from his body and throwing it away. Then, as he continued back, fire consumed his skin, heat began to burn over him, and within a minute, it disappeared in a puff of smoke.
"GODRIC," he screamed once more as he disappeared, and turned his eyes now, choking on his tears as he stood up. His... skin was melting away, what was this? He looked over to Reno, and over to Kiddy, choking down his emotions for a moment. "What are you two idiots standing here for!? The air is dangerous get out!!!"

His cheeks however were bright red, as he realized that everything he'd said to Eric during the encounter was captured on that video tape. He very quickly removed it from the camera and then gave the camera back to Kiddy. He didn't know how much Eric had actually heard or retained, though he had meant nearly all of it.
He scratched the back of his head, trying to get the blood to leave his cheeks. "Listen, back there. .. I'm not sure how much you heard or understood but. . ." and then he shook his head, laughing at himself. "Well, if you remember, I meant it, ok?"

She looked at them both. The miasma hadn't left Reno looking so good. "We should probably get out of here now." Her face remained stoic expressionless. The longer they stayed here on the outskirts of town the more likely more monsters would come along, and she was a little concerned for Reno.

"... no, you're right..." he said to Kiddy, giving a rather odd disappointed look in himself as he continued along. Carrying Reno along with him he moved towards the inside of the city. "When we find a safe place, you can drink," he told Reno, sighing hard.
".... ...... you know, ... I don't want to know..." he also said, his voice very stoic and very soft as he carried Reno along. The entire meeting with the doppleganger really shook him to the bone.

"Ya know, I'm supposed to be feeding you, not the other way around." he chuckled at himself, the full expanse feeling good to him as exhaustion tried to yank him under, but he wanted to stay awake right now, to enjoy it for however long or short a time he had it. The joke would leave him wide open for Eric to tease him in return, but he didn't mind one bit. The banter made things feel normal again.

She could tell from Reno's words that Eric must feed off of his blood. He wasn't a vampire which relieved her. In case he ever bit her the last thing she needed was to be a vampire. As if being a cyborg didn't make her feel like a freak enough.

He looked about again and saw a small restaurant beside. Tugging him inside he bypassed the lock and gave them a safe place for them to rest. He held the door open for Kiddy first, being the gentleman he was, and came in after.
"Kiddy," he chimed, frowning a bit, but shook his head. "Thank you... for aiding in me in my.. stupidity"
