Ugghh. I just checked the prices on my books for next semester, and it came to a grand total of $685.28. *sigh* Hopefully there'll be some classes where you won't really need the books (a la German History) and can just write lots of notes... Still that is going to cost me so much money, I am going to be so broke...
But anyway. Besides my money worries, things have been going okay, I guess. On Friday I went out to the Warehouse with Joey, April, and James, which was fun until James decided around 10 pm that he wanted to go home (I don't think getting his thumb slammed in his car door helped this). So Joey and I ended up watching a couple movies at his house instead, which was actually kind of nice. It was cool to spend some down time together, and it was a great feeling to get up on Saturday and not have a hangover. :)
And yesterday, after a lot of trying to figure out what to do (and racing to the liquor store--and just making it--at 9:58) we ended up going to Terry and Lacie's. It wasn't too bad at first--the boys played Tony Hawk for like five hours (and I'm not exaggerating) but there was Lacie to talk to. But then Larry and Lacie's friend Jesse came over (Lacie had referred to Jesse as a 'stupid bitch' and a 'slut' only minutes before they got there, but was suddenly Jesse's best friend once they arrived). So they all started singing country and western music and dancing to it. This was fine for about an hour, but it went on from 11 to 3. And I'm not kidding. I was about to either take another walk in the graveyard or start bashing my head against the wall when they finally put Eminem on. And as much as I'm not a big Eminem fan, I was so relieved. You have no idea what kind of effect four hours of country music can have on a person!! I would have paid them (if I had any money) to play some nice loud Good Riddance or No Use. Or anything that wasn't country for that matter.... so needless to say I was in a great mood by the time we left (ha ha). And then me and Joey somehow managed to get in a fight about who got more snow in their shoes (it ended up with Joey being determined to walk home in his sock feet). It was pretty funny, but I don't think my laughing or being sarcastic helped the situation any. :(
But anyway. I stayed at his place overnight, and went over for a bit again before church. In between I visited with my relatives--Steve, Nadine, and Judy all were over doing their Christmas visiting. What characters they are--Nadine gave me and Jen a big lecture about how we should only go out with rich guys ("If they're not rich, you tell them 'forget it'! Dump them! Don't waste any time!"... knowing her husband she is probably actually serious) and Steve was trying to figure out what internet explorer is. And Judy was making fun of Gary and Wanda, who spent all their money on Xboxes and Playstation 2s for their kids.
So then tonight I went to church, and then came home and ate a lot of food (chips, ice cream, stovetop... I am turning into such a pig). We played Taboo for quite a while too, which is always fun (me and Dad won). And now I'm, well, typing. I tell you it's been pretty exciting!
So yeah. I think it's time to get back to my lazyass existence (in other words I'm going to go eat some chips and play nintendo). See yas all later, probably at New Year's! Bye :)
