Stealing a bite to eat-Traverse Town [open]

Stealth. Slow your breathing. This is just like sneaking out of the house…you can do this.

Rikku moved slowly around the corner, being careful not to be noticed. Sure she could have probably just gone in the front door of the café and ordered the food but where is the fun in that? Just a few more steps and she could be out the door with enough food to keep her companion’s whining at bay until the reached their next destination…she hoped. Stealing food here was considerably harder than on the islands. On the islands the fruit was on stands in plain view and merchants stood idly by while customers poke and prodded through their wares. Here Rikku had to go through the kitchen. But then again, here no one was watching her like the women on the islands did. There was the door on the other side Selphie would be waiting. She already was a much better look out than Yuna, but to be fair Selphie seemed a lot more amused by Rikku’s thieving skills than Yuna.

Once the cook turned his back Rikku was out the door, and the some of the food went flying out of her arms. She didn’t have a chance to look around and only hoped that Selphie could catch. She came to a screeching halt on the back of her heels and almost fell backwards. “What a rush.” She said softly.
