hey owenians, thought i'd do a little update on what i've been up to since the ball weekend since i'm a big loser and have seen practically no one and also im bored rite now and thinking bout going to bed.
basically i haven't been up to much, i started my new job working in a pub. for like my first few days i hated it, i thought i wasn't gonna like it, i wasn't sure about the people and it was such incredibly tiring work. but it grew on me to the point where i actually semi enjoy my work now. i've had to break out the social skills, ive been in such a friends rut whereby i haven't had to befriend anyone new for ages and ages, but now i have to make the effort to make friends which i figure is good practice for uni. and i've met some really great people at work so all thats cool. who knows, if one of you decides to go for a drink in enfield, you might be served by me :)
on the non work front, my lif has been pretty much dull. i've seen a fair amount of little_sona , just hanging out watching tv, films (the notebook bites) and being generally rubbish. i've seen sexydre once, i had lunch with vezzy and son and thats about it. rubbish.
today was better though, me, little_sona , verity, jo_ho_1 , terrence, sarah grimmy and lou martin went to thorpe park. i drove there which was mildly scary but actually pretty easy. M25 schmem 25 (pretend like that actually worked). we had such a good day, going on all the rides and hanging out in queues catching up. i got sun burnt :( it hurts. it made me realise that despite the ups and downs i really do love my friends and im gonna miss them like crazy next year.
which brings me to tomoro nite, couple of hours work and then the perennial joy of prize giving. ah the joy of sitting in the boiling hot sports hall and singing the school song. :) i totally love it really and actually am kinda looking forward to it really, since its the last time - with the exception being that if the daniel radcliffe rumours are true and we put on white shirts next year and pretend to be sixth formers just to see a real famous person singing the owens school song. good times.
anywho, best be going to bed now but just a note to say that me and my lot are going batchwoods tomoro nite after prizegiving if anyone wants to come along and make it more owensy. would be nice if as many people as possible could come :)
