i think it's mandatory that i do a live 8 update. i could do the sona style joke but i won't, i'll just say that it was one of the most incredible days of my life. i'm kind of cynical about the whole cause but it even got me, the ultimate cynic, feeling good about the cause and hoping it makes a difference. but basically i went for music :)
i loved all the acts so much, coldplay with richard ashcroft and they played my fave coldplay song of the moment which made me so happy. and elton john and pete doherty were great even tho pete doherty was just crazy. and REM made us all sad but happy when they played everybody hurts, the saddest song ever. and mariah carey was such a fabulous diva. and madonna was amazing, and pink floyd and the who. and i officially adore kelly from the stereophonics, and the cute singer from the killers. and razorlight singer with his cool hat. and robbie williams who was just the best performer ever ever. and sting who was amazing. seriously, i found myself finding every single bloke who could play a guitar so hot. even the old old man from the who, but that was probably because we were far away. it was just so amazing because i got to see every artist i would ever want to see and then some, and it was free, and it was for a good cause. which gives me a happy glow.
and the scissor sisters were so fabulously camp and when we were queuing to get in there was all these gay pride floats going past with men dancing in leather thongs which was a little scary. dancing to techno. and there was joss stone whose voice was amazing and annie lennox who sung the sweet dreams song *happy sigh*. it was such a once in a lifetime experience and im so happy that i was there. and there was this amazing bit where will smith got everyone in all the concerts to click, like the advert with all the clicking celebrities and it was so weird to think that all across the globe, millions of people were clicking at once. amazing :) ok i'm done with the gloating....:)
oh and the sixth form ball was okay too, everyone looked lovely :)
