new manga
I'm looking to buy some new manga. I basically ask my visiting relatives from Taiwan to buy a bunch of manga for me when they're visiting. Which is next week. And the last visit was last month, so I've already bought the continuations of series I've been following. So now...new series! Any suggestions? I went to some stingy Chinese bookstore over here, saw Gintama, D.Grayman, and thought, "hey, I know people who like those." I'm thinking I might get them. Even though I don't quite know what they're about. So, I don't know yet.
Then, I saw some manga that I haven't heard much about...but I liked the covers. >_> Zombie Loan and what was the other one...think it was Hitman REBORN! Anyone...heard of it?
Might consider New Petshop of Horrors as well...though how does it relate to the previous series?
Actually, I went to that bookstore today because I wanted to know the Chinese name of Honey and Clover. D= Didn't find it in the store. Last time, when I wanted to buy the Chinese version of W Juliet, I just wrote down "W Juliet," hoping that the Chinese name wasn't too far off from that. And, I was hoping that at least the store person would know the original name...and if not, they could always flip to the back to find out! But it turned out that the publisher didn't put the original name in the back. In the end, my dad had to confirm with me if he bought the right series. I was like...um...14 volumes...yeah...
Last time when I went to Kinokuniya, I only bought volume 1 of Zig Zag and Honey & Clover v.1 (jap version) because it was too expensive to buy more. I want the continuations...but I don't know the Chinese name for H&C! ;_;
Sometimes...I can't help but think...what am I going to do with all that manga in my room? I have four bookshelves dedicated to it now. Over 1000 volumes. I must blame it on Conan. It's already 51 volumes long. Next longest...is probably Ranma and Shaman King. I used to rent manga...but I found out that it really is a better deal if I buy manga instead. It's not that cheap renting manga over here anyway.
