I considered various scenarios (the baseball game was in all of them) and somehow this came about. The friend of the dad was going to play a bigger part, but this felt more natural.

Yes, reread the series with me. Gah, this series makes my heart wrench. I guess my fic doesn't help either!

You must know the beginning a lot better than me then! I keep going through the same chapters near the end...I haven't started today's yet, but I'm trying to find mention of Kokopelli, but I can't seem to find that part!!

The ending was utterly heartwrenching. Scratch that, EVERYTHING was utterly heartwreanching. The Waku family... Those poor people. ;; I particularly loved the bedroom getting cleaned erasing his presence further.
