What can I say about the past few days.... a lot! But let's catch up first (*・ω・)
11月9日: Another night with the Awesome Alcoholics of Akita (AAA)! Thanks for being the crazy bunch that you are. d=(´▽`)=b
11月10日: Participated in "Hungry in Akita" and rode a cheap bus directly to Akita Station (150円 roundtrip!) care of one of the AIU clubs. The only other ways to go to Akita city is 1) a bus to AEON then a bus to the station (~1300円), and 2) bus to Wada and train to Akita (760円) so having a bus like this one as a permanent fixture would've been so convenient. I wish they could at least do this event more often!
In any case, Ebib and Chris and I took the first (11:30AM) bus, ate lunch, looked around Animate, before I had to go for my part-time job at the Satellite Center and they, to Round 1. On the way to the Center, I also bought my tickets back from Aomori on the 27th. At the time, I was still deciding on the date going to Aomori, so I didn't get to buy a ticket then. Hopefully I'll be able to on the day that I leave (set at the 25th!).
Anyway, the Center was more productive then. I had a good talk with some familiar and unfamiliar faces about what I thought about Japan, and even the state of the Philippines. Maybe because I'm so used to interacting with students who don't really ask me things like "Who's your president right now?" or "How are the job hunting conditions in the Philippines?" that I get surprised when someone does ask, but yeah. (⌒▽⌒ゞ
After the Center, I took a shuttle bus and had dinner at the chain curry restaurant Coco Ichibanya (accidentally ordered a really spicy one /(*ι*)ヾ) before joining them at Round 1. Finally got to try archery!! It was my first time but I'm glad to have done pretty good~ The batting cages, on the other hand, were a different story. I didn't miss all the time but I don't think I'm particularly good at that.
With and without flash, so you can see it~
There was also billiards, karaoke, a gym, and a spa. Spent quite a bit of time at the latter, because I was ready to fall asleep in the massage chair. Phew.
The last shuttle bus from Round 1 to the station was at 9:30PM. Unfortunately, we had to take it and ended up walking around rather pointlessly around the station and surrounding area for 2 hours to wait for the bus back to AIU. The fact that nothing was open anymore is one of the things I think are a bit weird and slightly troublesome about Japan. Shops open at 11 (which is late by my standards), and close at around 7-8. You're really lucky to find stuff open at 10! So we killed time at a konbini, reading magazines, and drinking milk. 笑
11月14日: I walked around the school and realized that I haven't been able to take a lot of pictures of Autumn, my favorite season. It's just that it's been raining a lot (who knew? Is rain then normal? If so, I like Autumn a bit less now .w.) so it's not all that pretty. When it's not raining, I coincidentally forget my camera. Woo. So anyway, I brought it this time and took what I could.
Also took some random pictures as I went around the school/Goshono area (to do grocery shopping). Saw a Suikoden II for PSP!!! If it weren't in Japanese, I'd probably be so tempted to get it. I also saw a complete Fruits Basket manga set at 105円 each at GEO, and made myself sad while I read it (omg I can read Japanese). As weird as it may seem to people that I like Furuba, the story is just soooo... (ノД`)・゜・。
Finally, I had a COS event that day with Nakasen Junior High School. :) Thanks for talking with me, guys!
