but isn't the point of the buddist idea that there's no actual good people? if we're all a little bad (and we are, really. as humans.) then it's only (self) deception to go around believing that one person is better or worse than another.

also, there's a very small percentage of people, if any at all, who will continue to give without some sort of reciprocation. you may not easily see it, but that doesn't mean that you're not giving back to people in ways that they need, too.

This is actually a pretty fascinating topic and one of my favorites to pour over when I'm analyzing people's actions vs intent.

I don't like seeing people in a situation that hurts/is negative for them and so if I can, I will do what I can to help. If I know the person well/consider them a friend then I want the best for them; but even if I don't know them well I want the people around me to be happy, or at least neutral/calm

I won't say that I totally understand all your feelings, but I do...share some of your thoughts. I don't even know. I often wonder how many people have the same thoughts. Are we minorities or deep down everyone just feels the same.

The thing I've always found about reciprocation is that different people take it to different extremes. Ah, such a fickle topic it can be.
