So, having two kids and a husband in the military, it's tough to find time to get a haircut. My hair was getting really scraggly on the ends and I was sick of it, so I took matters into my own hands now that Katie's back in school and did a self cut. I started off making a ponytail on top of my head and pulling it close to the end to try to get the dried ends off the layers. I have hair somewhere between wavy and curly and it really needs to be layered. Then I went for the hard part of trimming the bottom. I think it's reasonably straight. The good news is I have hair between wavy and curly so you shouldn't be able to pick out minor evenness of the bottom. I'll have to look at it when it fully dries to see if I took enough off, but it feels better than it did.
Next time J is around on a Saturday or Sunday, I need to make an appointment for Supercuts to have them trim it up for real, but generally if he's home we go do something at least one of those days and generally don't plan it out in advance.
Anyone else brave enough to do the self haircut?
