Thanks :) When I read the quote I could only think "McKay and Shep all the way...". I fought it, since I've been trying to avoid writing scenes about the two of them, lest people get me confused with a McSheper (which I am so totally not).

But this one wouldn't go away. It demanded to be written.

So I did.

It does fit amazingly well. After Rodney's failed attempts with Katie, (who I don't think was right for him at all. Jennifer and Rodney however make an awesome couple), this fits right in. :)

I'm glad you decided to go with it. This piece couldn't be mistaken for anything but two good buddies chatting - which is the reason I love John and Rodney so much. They played off each other so well in the show - I'm still pouting that it was cancelled.

Yeah, I loved their banter a lot. It was teh awesome, and made for many a giggle when I was feeling crappy. It really blows that they canceled it, for sure.

I have high hopes, since Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie are the ones writing it (as opposed to Brad and Rob). The only way it could have been any better was if Martin Gero had been the one penning the script :)
