Good Things No.s 316 - 325

Nov 22, 2010 00:08

Much as I always plan to keep up to date with these...

316 - Cider, chocolate and nattering - lovely evening.

317 - Was working. On a Saturday. Got a hone call from my little man - 'Are you coming home Mummy?, I love you very much!' Awww.

318 - Looking at the plans for the house. They arrived yesterday, but we only had a proper look at them today - they're very clever and it's all terribly exciting!

319 - Went to look a the local school - the one we will almost certainly get offered whatever we put on our application - which has a less than wonderful Ofsted report. I was very pleasantly surprised - the Administrator who showed me round clearly loved what she does, as did the teachers I met. The kids all seemed happy and engaged. Having had quite a long discussion about the Ofsted report (and comparing it to my experience of having been inspected in a housing association) I am actually quite relaxed about him going there.

320 - Loads of fun at bouncy bouncy, including Jack showing off his handstands and me tickling Edward in the pit of doom - much giggling!

321 - An interesting session at college. And we now have new heating!

322 - Getting a shed load done at work - I wish I could do that kind of efficiency to order!

323 - Climbing! With hepstar and all is right in the world again.

324 - John sending Jack into hysterical giggles by talking like a typical Monty Python pepperpot a la “put that welsh tart down Brian” and berating him for pinching some pennies. You probably had to be there...

325 - Lovely lunch with Trish followed by a visit from Jemma and her bloke, Steve. Steve is also a builder and is going to sort out the bathroom (and potentially quite a lot more!). All very pleasant.
