So, here’s my top secret list of things to do before I die, which I guess is no longer top secret. Actually, I’m only going to post half of it to keep the mystery alive. The stuff I’ve actually done is bold and underlined, the stuff I've kind of done is just underlined…
Be involved in the arts field on any level, be financially stable through my own achievements, travel to unique destinations, swim with a dolphin, stop underestimating and apologizing for my opinions and beliefs, ride an elephant, continue to believe in something other than the tangible things around me, experience weightlessness, visit as many art masterpieces as humanly possible, blow a ton of money in Vegas or Monte Carlo, visit the Pyramids, see Area 51, see a session of the Senate or the House of Representatives, throw a drink in someone’s face, go to a drive-in movie, learn how to bake or rather learn how to follow a recipe… correctly… and quit improvising, fly in a hot air balloon, watch a space shuttle launch, own something ridiculously expensive yet completely frivolous, visit a real haunted house, become a member of the Mile High Club, swim in the Dead Sea, give up control in some situations and take control in others, teach someone something, drive a Zambonie, eat Fugu in Japan, visit a concentration camp, visit the Vietnam memorial in D.C., see Stonehenge, kiss the Blarney Stone, test drive expensive cars just for the fun of it, watch the sun rise in an awesome location, sing karaoke, sit on a jury, walk the Great Wall of China, ride the Orient Express, see the Aurora Borealis, get over fear of spiders, eat at a five star restaurant with a famous chef, learn something new every day, plant a tree, go on a cruise, quit smoking, admit to being wrong, attend a wedding, play the best April Fool’s joke, vacation in a tropical paradise, learn to juggle with three balls, attend a major sporting event, remain weird and quirky, and let someone love me despite all of that….
So in the spirit of things, I hereby pledge to bake something edible and see if there’s a haunted house or something spooky nearby - by the end of this week.
