Progress

Because I've been writing every day since December 24th, it feels like I've been doing this rewrite for longer than I have, that I've been on the 100 day push for a much longer time.

But in real time, it's only been a week. I keep being amazed at both how much I've accomplished, as well as how effective this push has been. I just ran into a section that needs a Witch edit, but instead of getting side tracked, because it would involve a lot of work, I kept going on the character edit.

Conversely, when an edit involves merely adding a sentence or two, I do that at the time. So part of the world edit continues to progress, as well as the magic edit, and I feel really good about it.

I keep running into sections of the second novel that I've forgotten about, marveling at how much I like them, and like this novel. There are, of course, areas that are more clunky. But sometimes -- yeah. It's good. The groove was strong.

I've already added more than 1000 words to the second novel. This makes me happy. I only did a light "make it not broke" edit on the second novel. The edit where I take the summaries and expand those sections is going to be really important for this novel and the next, hitting those places that I'm not changing now.

But overall, I must say, I'm pleased.
