This past weekend, I spend several hours in one of each of your stores in search of a pair of pants. I was hoping for several pairs but would have been happy to find just one pair of flattering, attractive, stylish trousers. I tried on numerous pairs in a couple of sizes...all to no avail. They were either too small, to big, or just hideously ( Read more... )

I am glad someone else feels the love of thrift store shopping. I get some of my most favorite clothes from there.

Glad to see you were able to pick up some new pants.

Oh, I'm a huge fan of the GW...probably 70-80% of my clothes come from there. And you can find great con clothes there!

I'll second that. I get alot of my con clothes there as well. About every two weeks I will descend upon all the local thirft sores and pick up about 4-6 new items for cons and just regular everyday wear.

And if I do go to a retail store, it is clearance racks all the way. The ONLY time I will pay full price if it some very specific that I need and can not find anywhere else. Other than that I refuse to pay full price for clothing.

You and I are like the same person when it comes to shopping. Besides, I get overwhelmed if I try to look at all of that stuff in the store. If I stick to the clearance racks it's much easier. I'm really not so much of a shopper and I HATE to spend $, so...there you go!

P.S. TJ Maxx: *I* never liked your Dollar General-lookin' outlet store anyway. I abhor sifting through such elevated levels of disorganization only to find pleated pants and dry-clean-only apparel suited mostly to realtors wearing pearls.

Sincerely,
Pret-a-Porter (ready-to-wear)
