BABIES!
I am an Auntie x2!! Ender Issac and Annika Isabella were born yesterday at 8:40 pm. After being induced at 5:30 am and not progressing past 4 cenimeters dialation as of 6:30 pm, they decided to go ahead and give her a c-section. So they whisked her off at about 8:00 pm, prepped her and was under way about about 8:20. And at 8:40 out they came! I haven't gotten to hold them yet, but tomorrow evening, it's ON. It's kind of crazy that I haven't even spent any time with them, but I love them oh so much.
And leave it to Rose to go ahead and deliver her babes, and a Tornado hits! It was seriously a scene out of a bad lifetime movie. She's just had her epidural, she can't feel the lower half of her body, the weather channel tells us that we are sitting ducks in the red zone of a twister while simultaneously the tornado sirens go off. Everyone in the hospital is evacuated out into the hallway, except Rose because she's hooked up to so many monitors, they can't move her, so they bolt up her windows and basically tell us to stay away from the windows... really?? So poor Rose is drugged out of her skull, can't move to save her life, and knows that there is a Tornado headed towards the hospital. Thankfully it did not hit directly, but I do have some groovy pics of it, since I was one of the multiple jackasses that ran outside to get a looksy rather than hunker down in the hallway.
Tonight commences night shift schedule. 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. I will be praying to the Nos gods come 3 or 4. Oie.
