Bodybuilders
What a week.
I tended to find Bodybuilders a tough week. Maybe because for the last few years I didn't take part but Andrew did. Its always been massively on my heart for many reasons. It is where I have some great childhood memories from being a black belt myself, its where I first met Andrew, and its just massive in terms of reaching the community.
I asked God what He wanted for me this week because it was tough going into. I always want to know what I can learn and what He is saying. And God is faithful you know, He is forever expanding His word. Nothing is random or standalone, its all perfectly linked and whilst it may be confusing, it always becomes clear.
God has been speaking a lot about taking responsibility in terms of relationships with others and relationship with Him. I've realised lately that God truly wants to romance us; its a love story, But we have to take the responsibility for our part in it.
A lot of people love a love story - they love the chase and the being treated like royalty, the attention and beginning of intimacy. Why should a relationship with God be any different. We call Him the lover of our souls, we sing about how we love Him, yet we wont be vulnerable with Him. We hold Him at arms length. We need to look at how we approach the King Of Kings but we need to take responsibility for letting Him love us the best way anyone can love us. We need to be in relationship with Him.
Its such a weird concept because its different to any picture the world gives us.
How can we show Jesus if we don't know Him? How can we share Jesus when we haven't let Him in?
We need to let Jesus fill the void in us, reach the parts that are hurting and confused, so that we can guide people to the same healing, the same light and the same life. Its touching someone's soul and very needs, rather than a program or a good time.
We are the children of God, princesses and princes, friends and lovers. Lets choose to walk in that by drawing close to daddy, lets take the responsibility to go beyond....
