You know it doesn't have to be a threesome and still be okay, right? It could be a polyamorous V with Peter as the point. Negotiated rules and boundaries and stuff and Neal and Elizabeth bonding over how much they love Peter. There's always another way. :D
See, I can't do that either. I am all for other people's joy with polyamory, but I have issues. I'm prudish enough with pairings, let alone more than that, and even though I know it would all be consensual and above-board and the best solution --- it doesn't work for me. /o\
So, I can do platonic, it's usually my default setting, and I do love them all so much that I'll be happy with that. But a small, teeny-tiny part of me is a little bit sad, because in every other way than there being a wonderful wife in El, Peter/Neal are my ideal pairing.
I was really pleased to see Diana again as well. I think her character was handled really well, and was very upset to see her go after the pilot.
The final scene was so slashy and beautiful. Did you see that Neal cried? Because he did! He cried! And there's just no way Kate is dead. I don't trust her. Fandom dislikes her a lot already, and no one trusts her so far.
Sorry you can't enjoy the OT3. I ship it hard, because El is great, as you said, and I can't get over the love they all have for each other. Peter/Neal and Peter/El is pretty obvious, but Neal/El is pretty likely as well, I think. And Peter would never cheat on El, so OT3 is my only option here.
I looove Diana and want her back permanently. I also love Dub Dub (though not enough to know her as anything but Dub Dub - oh, The Middleman, axed way too soon.)
Is this where I admit that I think it may not be a tear so much as a melted snowflake/raindrop? There's something falling from the sky. Um. :D Then again, his voice cracks like he's crying. And he's obviously cut up. Neal ♥
I do enjoy the OT3 in a platonic way, so I am good!
I loved seeing Diana again. There is more chemistry between her and Neal then there is between Neal and Lauren. Since Diana has no interest in Neal :), I was hoping for a strong friendship during the first season.
Frankly the only person that trusts Kate is Neal. I don't think she is dead, and I think that she was trying to kill Neal.
oh! my god, wasn't the WC finale just amazing?? I also didn't see that Neal was actually crying--I thought he was just cold, or emotional, so therefore the pink-rimmed eyes at the end--but some screencaps made it SO obvious that omg, tears were totally coming down...oh, Neal.
I also feel like the OT3 situation is a tricky and baffling one! I'm not an OT3er normally (though I'll read it in WC) and the idea of El just being okay with everything feels just a little left of center (though I've written things that way) so as a result, I lean strongly toward Peter/Neal in a physically unrequited situation, with El recognizing the obvious and being on Peter's side (always!), and it's--well, it works, although I do always feel there's that edge of longing there.

See, I constantly find myself thinking "Neal has to trust Kate for a reason. He's not dense."

And yes, oh, Neal.
I love strong friendships, so I think that's how I'll view Peter and Neal, but, oh man, the hotness.
