Have I ever mentioned to any of you how absolutely wonderful Su Do Ku is? Its friggen brilliant. The other day I realized Melissa didn't know what it was. I almost punched her in the the mouth. Well, not really because that would've been rude, but you know what I'm saying. Su Do Ku is amazing and should be treated as such. None of this "I've never heard of it" business. *psh*
Well I'm at work (shocking, I know) and I'm getting ready to take over for the week. Ann is off to Memphis so I'm taking over at the wheel. Should be a grand time. Today I already have a few things to do, and it should fill up most of my day. Actually for the rest of the week I should be quite busy emptying out four filing drawers and shreading one billion sheets of paper so we don't get screwed over with records retention. Should be a grand time. I'm expecting a few paper cuts and some jammed shredding machines, but I'll try not to kill myself.
Can I express my love for the Christmas Tree Shop please? Mom and I went this weekend - spent an hour and a half in there and I spent almost $70 and got TONS of stuff. This is the same kind of stuff that you're at Wal*Mart and you're like - woah thats a good deal for that! Well, my friends, these were even BETTER deals, like what would be $5 at Wal*Mart making you ready to buy would be like $2 at the CTS and you nearly deficated all over the floor when you saw the price. The cards that I bought alone would've normally been $75 and I got them for $25. NOT A JOKE. I seriously can't wait to go back again. Its a miraculous, miraculous time. I think I would drive to Portland just to go to that store and then turn around and go home. Its THAT miraculous. And I HATE driving to Portland. (Rt. 3 should burn to the ground) So yeah. Its that amazing.
The reason why we went to the Christmas Tree Shop - well this past Saturday mom and I went down to visit her cousin who has been in the hospital since January - she hasn't seen him for 19 years. We were there for almost 2 hours. Mom really enjoyed seeing him and it was nice to finally meet him. (I was three the last time I "saw" him) Then we traveled up to Biddeford for my cousin's wedding - it was a very nice wedding. She hadn't seen him cry EVER in the 3 years they've been together and he started crying when he said his vows. So then it was all over for her. I didn't expect her to cry so it was really sweet. Then the reception was pretty fun (that side of the family is hilarious) and they had a great cake, great food, pretty much ALL country music from the DJ (Meg would've killed herself) and there was some pretty hilaroius stuff going on. (A.K.A. Ben whipping out a pair of granny-panties instead of a garter, making Arelle crap her pants laughing - she didn't know about it and was trying to figure out how he snuck them in his jacket....and whose they were..........) So then mom and I went back to Portland, collapsed at Ho Jo's and got up the next morning to do breakfast at Friendly's, do some neat shopping, then head to Freeport to hit up Pat's Pizza, some bead shops, a Lindt Chocolate store (drooool) and an Education store that I nearly started crying at because it was so friggen awesome. Then we went home. The End. I got some pretty neat bargains and some funny bday presents for people that I have to wait for October and November to give. Oh well!!
Well my plans for this week include some lunch dates (Laura & Sam today and Meg & Kristen on Thursday) and some movies (The Lake House tonight with James, Meg, Melissa & Kristen) some America's Got Talent, some Real World, major amounts of sleeping, and oh yeah, did I mention that WE'RE GOING TO MONTREAL NEXT WEEKEND - WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! So pumped! I haven't seen Mr. Andrew since March nor Miss Edie since April (or was it March...) and I am QUITE excited. I got to see other glorious faces (Ellie, Ismat, Leslie, Charles) not too long ago. I think we might see Ankura this weekend too! JOY! RAPTURE! It is going to be soooo much fun. 3rd annual Montreal 4th of July weekend trip! And speaking of the 4th - its Katie's birthday on the 4th (*HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!* who is America?) and I'm hoping to chill with her and the gang at her aunt's camp for her bday for the second year in a row. Should be a GLORIOUS time. I think I might have to call her face today.
So the things that I'm looking the most forward to over the next week:
