Mixed bag - real life edition
Well looking at my journal I'm realizing how much I've been slacking on here again *face palm* I don't really have an excuse other than lately my ambition has been really shot. I think it's just left over from all the real life crap that has been happening since I got back from vacation: health issues, kitty issues, selling my grandparents house, cons, family. Just oi. A couple people have asked me if my slump has been because of the weather since it's been cooling off here a bit and been rather over cast on and off - but you know, that's the kind of weather that I ultimately love. So I know it's not that. I think it's just life.
Either way I thought I should do a quick post and let everyone know I'm okay. Which I am, other than feeling drained and a bit lethargic at the moment. My Sidney kitty is doing a lot better. I actually have spent a few hours this weekend just laying with her and cuddling in bed. I really wish I could do that every morning but work kinda makes that impossible. But I do spend time with her every night after I get home just being with her. With how sick she got earlier this month it definitely has put me in that "I want to be around her a lot" phase.
As for the new kitties in the house - they still haven't been let out to roam with the existing kitties in the house - mainly because they have been having some tummy issues. But they are all lovey and definitely don't like when you leave from visiting them. I feel bad but we're all being cautious before we let them roam since Sid had her issue earlier.
Work has been going. This last week we were short a few people due to vacation and being sick. But I have good news at least, I actually met our sales goal for the quarter so I'll be getting a pay out for my sales next month. I'm really relieved cause it shows that I tried to improve (in actuality I worked by butt off for it) and it makes my boss happy. Downside is I'll have to keep doing it now since I proved that I can :P But the extra money will come in handy with Yaoi-Con next month :) Especially when I heard that one of the book merchants I buy from at AX and online will be attending as one of the vendors.
Also speaking of October (which is when Yaoi-Con is) I went to one of our local Halloween stores Friday after work, kind of wanted to treat myself since Friday was when I hit my sale goal for the quarter. But one of location is in the building my first job was ever in and let me just say how much cooler the space looks being jam packed with Halloween goods XD I ended up getting some new zombie goodies and a bag of bones that I plan on trying to turn into a kick ass prop for our yard. While I was in the store I felt so much more at home. Ever since last year I've been using a trick or treat bag I bought from the company as a purse that's white and covered in blood splatter. Well while I was walking around I heard the cashier's say that I had to be fine looking around because I had one of the purses from last year - in turn they both showed me their "purses" they bought last year too XD At least now I know I'm not the only one that converted the trick or treat bag into a purse.
And with that I think I will end this post. I might make another one later talking about the new seasons of all the various TV shows that started up. With October starting next weekend that has me pretty happy cause that means Dexter and Walking Dead will be back soon *hearts* Hope everyone on my flist is well.
