Writing Request

Er- hello.

I hope it's not completely rude to just sort of request a story without posting something in return, but- but, well, I had this great idea. And I've been unofficially watching this community for a while, and I like it, and I thought the community might really like it. You see, I'm an absolutely huuuge Neil Gaiman fan, only I live in East Bumblefuck, Middle of Nowhere, so they don't have many of his books of his in our local bookstore. I only found Good Omens this past month in our library, as well as Smoke and Mirrors, an anthology of some of N. Gaiman's short stories. And I am not very sociable online, so I've never posted here before... So here goes nothing.

If anyone finds this idea as absolutely lovely as I do, and is inspired by it, I'd really like to see some fanfiction or fanart about it.

In Smoke and Mirrors there is this short story called "Murder Mysteries" about the murder of an angel Carasel and about the Divine Plan and ineffability, etc. (Don't want to spoil it, if you haven't read it- and you should) before the Fall. I was just wondering where Aziraphale would be during all of this, what his "function" is, and, since this is pre-Fall, Crowley (or whatever he was known as then) as well. It's got a bit of philosophic edge about love between angels and such, so I suppose it could be made into an A/C relatively easily. I'm only offering inspiration, not guidelines.

If "Murder Mysteries" doesn't inspire anyone, then, in the same anthology, there is a story called "Cold Colors". It's about Hell becoming user-friendly; there was a very interesting line in there somewhere about "downloading a succubus", but the narrator decides against it because he doesn't want to risk getting a virus. There was also a line that seemed a bit Crowley-ish. "It's just water, some creatures are so stupid they'll do you a Savini gunk-dissolve if you sprinkle them with Perrier for chrissakes, whining the whole time all my evil, my beautiful evil!" Ha. Tricking another demon into returning to Hell by 'exorcising' them with Perrier. Doesn't that sound like him?

Anyway, I really think those are some good ideas, and I hope someone gets inspired. If not, I might just have to do something myself! But I thought you lot would enjoy them as well.

Happy writing,
