So, how about that Easter special?

In August. *ahem*

Just watched Planet of the Dead, because I had the time and wanted to relax and nothing was on television and I can finally bring myself to (mostly because the next special should be out soon enough).

I liked it. Well enough. Christina seemed too perfect. Yes, morally corrupt, but there was never one moment of vulnerability. Usually we get that, somewhere, where the personality buckles under the pressure of OMFG ALIENS AND PLANETS AND LASERS, OH MY and we get to see them grow. Maybe that was the moment where she gave up the cup , but I dunno. Didn't feel like enough. That last bit was awful reminiscent of Jenny, though.

It all makes me a bit sad, though. David is leaving. Matt Smith will be great, and although it's impossible to read my flist without tripping over spoilers (stupid icons, I wanted to be surprised when I saw his outfit, fuckers), I am excited for him. But David is leaving. As much as Nine is my Doctor, Ten has been around longer and is inextricably linked to my love of Martha and Donna (DONNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA <- said in Wash-esque fashion). I'm understanding now how bittersweet the show must have been before, to see actors come and go. You get all attached and shit. *pout* No wonder my Dad stopped watching after Tom Baker. Peter Davison is just so different.

Anyway, fandom aside. On to Real Life Things!

Roaring Into The Halls was more like a whimper. I think I had maybe two girls move onto my floor at all between 8am (and yes, I had to wake up earlier than that, be downstairs and ready at 7:30 in the motherfucking AM) and 1pm. Then I went downstairs to do check in for an hour and got another handful of girls there. I COULD HAVE BEEN ASLEEP, DAMN IT. I didn't even eat during my 'lunch break' (all of 15 minutes, THANKS ERIN). I slept. Overslept. But Amanda was watching Ghostbusters on YouTube and drawing flyers so she didn't mind.

Steph came by! I finally gave her that purse. I hope I'll still hang out with her some, she's a pretty cool kid, and a kind of rare one, too. She likes the makeup and the dressing up and the clothes but she can be a slob just like me and laze around and watch TV. She's not a sorority drone (and I know I'm generalizing here, allow me some leeway, please) like the majority of them are. She's a little bit different and so are her friends and they think the Greek Ones are just as annoying and amusingly annoying as I do.

Now I think I might take a nap before my desk shift at 7pm, since I'm still pretty tired. I should probably clean up my room. Ellie and Lauren are coming by.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhh. Or not.

doctor who, had to cut a bitch, spoilers, working hard or hardly working, that crazy stephanie girl, tenth doctor
