So of course. 
I was looking for new lj icons.
And guess what I fell upon?
I was kind of happy actually.
Brokeback Mountain won best kiss on the 
MTV Movie Awards.
I didn't want it but my friend Candy did and I was kind of glad actually.
I was rooting for them to win.

So. I went to church today and while I was sitting there

for one. we don't have proof of either. historical truth? bull. I mean, no offense to you at all, Elyse; but history has been burned, history has been made up of tales, history has been re-written; and, even if none of those happened, history being written in the first place, is a bias. humans don't refuse to believe it, it's just that they don't; many people want to believe it, many people do, and many people just don't know; sometimes, seeing really is believing, and people just haven't seen enough of this 'proof'. believing in god doesn't mean you have to give up, it just means you have to live by something that may risk the true definition of what life really is and what it's meant to be. believing in god doesn't mean you don't have control of your life; I mean, yeah, there is god's way, but, just because somebody believes that, doesn't mean they can't make a mistake, doesn't mean they can't choose to do something; they have that control. many people just choose not to patronize themselves over something like religion; same thing with policitcs, many people just don't want to think about it, or associate themselves with the subject. religion is definitely touchy for some people. believing in god doesn't always mean relying and trusting him to give us our salvation; it just means believing for some, or believing and trusting for his guidence, or believing in a higher creator or whatever, it's not always the cure for our sins, and our cause for salvation.
it's not that nothing else makes sense, it's just that nothing seems right to you; there are plenty of things that make sense, to others. infact god makes about as much sense as evolution does, that's without the debate of the bible. evolution isn't about chance. humans, and human nature are completely unrelated; the form of a human had to come from something: god or primates. human natures comes from evolution, either way; because human nature changes with each generation and the opportunities that arise. human nature is the way people are, and it includes free will. and it's said in the bible that free will was not a part of our make-up, and that was not what god had intended. free will leads to problems; problems that we create, not god.
you mean, it's scarier, the information we know, more than the information we don't. and yes, I agree.
sorry. religion is touchy.
simply stated; love is love. church and state are different and separated. there.
about that; it's not about deserving a second chance, it's about whether the person feels like they should give them one. people don't always consider what the other deserves, but what the other has been through, and what the other has done, and what they both have experienced, it's not always deserving. I'm forgiving, and I always give chances; sometimes it sucks, sometimes, I'm incredibly happy I'm that way. but that's my choice for part of it, and that's my nature for the other part.
about friends; cherish the ones you have, and remember the ones you don't. you can't classify friends as the only things that come and go; that's people in general, family, friends, peers, enemies; they all come and go.
