this came to my attetion yesterday (or whenever) when i_know_jimmy mentioned it in the dk community. throughout the years, i never hear anything new in the land of the Dead Kennedys, its always "lawsuit" this and "egotistic bastard" that. although this is a "jello is god" community, i still think its fucked up that jello didnt give royalties to the rest of the dk members. that really says something about him as a person rather than an idol ((because even tho he seems obnoxious, hes a good political speaker and thats a hell of alot more adimirable)). im not knocking biafra per se, i love him as much as the next person- but why not give royalties where it's due? its not like these dudes arent fucking millionaires! whats a few bucks? sheesh...but then again, they sold out, and became mainstream. so which brings to the question that jimmy there asked:
"He did wrong, they sold out. Which is worse?"
i hate to quote, but that just seemed like something worth debating or something along the lines of that..i dunno. personally i think their both dumbasses for doing the things they did. and i think they should put aside differences for a month or 2 to do a reunion tour. its not fair to the rest of us who didnt get a chance to the original (or somewhat original) lineup. i was still a squiggly little sperm...and i dont care what they say-goddamn brandon cruz is a HORRIBLE fucking jello-replacement...its just not fair *spite spite spite* until next time
