anyhow- did anyone else see the today show....today? about the kid who got an interview with bush? i thought it was interesting that king bush wouldnt answer all the kids questions truthfully. he basically bribed them off with his dogs and baseballs! i can understand that the kids only 8, but still. if its for a school newspaper- his parents (or mom, to be politically correct..) should have better prepared him to ask some better questions. and its in the presidents interest to answer truthfully- especially to americas youth (not to mention saying other words than "umm" and "and", sheesh). i think this proves the incompentence in adults- they think kids are so fucking stupid and that they cant figure out shit for themselves. some kids are pretty stupid-but that reflects on the parents. kids today are becoming pretty smart, and realizing that some things in this world are incredibly wrong. for example- i know this little girl that i go and see whos only 5 (okay 5!)- and as we were watching the news; some report on the war in iraq came on. after all was said and done this little girl told me that she thought it was sad that all the people in iraq (she said "i-wak" it was cute ^-^) are dying because we want their oil, and that we should just let them be themselves and that they would be fine. and before i left i asked her what we should do to make the world a better place (which is kinda hard for a kid to answer *not to patronize*), and she drew me a picture of everyone on bikes and walking around. she explained that everyone likes bikes and walking and that we didnt need cars to drive us around. she basically said that people are to dependent on cars, and i couldnt agree more.
okay, if a fucking 5 year old can realize that killing is wrong- why the hell cant a 33 year old man? hmmm.....maybe because all the power and greed has corrupted his mind, and hes so absorbed into his own political campaign that he doesnt realize that there are people in iraq that are dying because we've made it our own little project to make a new america. more money is going to iraq that to the people here in the states. i dont know about you, but i sure as hell dont wanna pay 5 bucks for a box of cereal. or work overtime everyday for a year to be told that im being "let go" due to financial problems and lack of funding. i think more people would like a cure for cancer rather than a new democracy in some place we'll never go to....but thats just me, and thats my 2 cents. which reminds me, i need a job now *sad*
