Why do strangers find me so approachable (or so entertaining to follow...)?!

Yesterday I was leaving the only room at work with a microwave (otherwise I avoid "common areas" to the best of my ability) and as I stepped into the hallway a guy whom I can only assume works here almost ran into me.
