My stats.Good news from my end! Everything is falling into place to make this relationship a short one FINALLY. Wow, my boyfriend and I have only been LD for almost a year now, and even THAT has been hard, but FOUR YEARS? I commend you!
My boyfriend and I plan on closing the distance sometime next year, by May or so. I, like you, have a lot of excitement but a lot of fear as well.
Are you scared of things not going well once you are SD? It's a fear of mine, but I suppose it's a fear of any couple about to close the distance. And, on my end, another big fear is the prospect of moving to a foreign country (he wants to close the distance in Europe).
Best of luck with everything! :)

Yeah, I'm scared of things not working out for us because of the short distance...I think every long distance couple goes through that fear of things not being as wonderful as we expect them to be...but even then, I'm expecting us to have problems, especially after the "honeymoon" phase is over and we have to really adjust to being around one another all the time. So I'm not expecting it to be a fairy tale but I'm still scared lol which is natural and I say it's good we both have these fears...it means we really do care about ourselves and our relationships
That would be scary, moving so far! I'm scared of just moving across the country and missing my mom, but I'm sure things will work out for you in the end :) Europe is absolutely beautiful

How did you know that this phase was over for you and your boyfriend? I recently made a post about this. Since those of us in LDRs can usually only rely on words (via text or email) instead of being able to get reassurance/validation through physical gestures such as hugs and kisses, I'm wondering if my SO is "losing" feelings for me because he's being less lovey-dovey in emails and even telling me that he loves me less frequently.
I guess it's just that the honeymoon phase is calming down/fading?
